Resentful Murk swaps places with an enemy piece whose star level is no higher than 1 / 2 / 3. If several enemies qualify, it picks the one with lower HP; the swap pierces immunity and has a 60 s cooldown.

Role: a cheap ranged saboteur that wrecks enemy formations — the piece it drags out ends up alone among your units. Keep it in the back row; it works early and stays relevant later as a way to pull an enemy carry out of position. Also fills Egersis, Watcher and Witcher synergies.

Synergy effect: (2) All allies gain the following effect: enemy-targeted single-target skills can hit +1 additional target. (4) All allies gain the following effect: enemy-targeted single-target skills can hit +1 additional target. Effects of several active thresholds stack together.

How to play

Watcher amplifies the damage and control of the whole board: every single-target skill of your pieces starts to catch an extra target, and the more heroes with targeted abilities you field, the bigger the payoff. All three heroes are cheap, so (2) is reached early and (4) once the roster is doubled in the mid game, when both thresholds stack. The synergy gives no protection on its own, so it is usually taken as an amplifier for a main build with strong targeted skills.

Egersis · species

Synergy effect: (3) All non-Egersis pieces on both sides receive the Plague effect: starting health −10%. (6) All non-Egersis pieces on both sides receive the Plague effect: starting health −45%. (9) All non-Egersis pieces on both sides receive the Plague effect: starting health −45%, and infected pieces additionally lose 5% of max health every 2 seconds (the reduction limit is calculated from starting health). Egersis pieces do not appear in the piece shop at the start of the game. They can only be obtained by equipping the "Egersis Pact" gear or through the "Gamble Box" sacred relic.

How to play

Egersis weakens everyone who is not Egersis, including your own pieces, so the synergy is built as a core rather than an add-on. (3) already trims the enemy's health, (6) makes the Plague genuinely painful, and (9) adds constant health loss throughout the fight. There are many heroes at different costs, but because of the special way they are obtained, the build depends on whether the right gear or relic comes your way.

Witcher · class

Synergy effect: (2) All allied Demons are treated as creatures of the same type. (4) All damage dealt by all allied pieces is converted into pure damage. Class trait: at the start of the battle, Witcher pieces are treated as Demons by the enemy. Witchers interfere with the enemy's Demon synergy count: if the opponent did not use a Demon mage to activate Wizard (4), a Witcher can additionally activate their Demons and break Wizard (4); if the opponent uses one Demon mage but cannot activate Wizard (4) because of Demons, a Witcher can switch off their Demon synergy and help activate Wizard (4).

How to play

Witchers are a narrow but unusual synergy: (2) lets all allied Demons count as creatures of one type, and (4) converts all allied damage into pure damage, which ignores the target's armor and magic resistance. There are few heroes and almost all of them are expensive, so these are mid- and late-game compositions; the thresholds are filled by heroes of different costs. Witchers naturally pair with Demons and with any heroes whose damage benefits from becoming pure.
