Reaping Deathactive, area of effect

Ripper revs up his death chainsaw and deals 200 / 250 / 300 pure damage to all nearby enemies. The cooldown is short — 6 / 5 / 4 s — so he cuts through packs again and again.

Role: a cheap melee piece that puts out area damage straight from the front line. Pure damage ignores armor and magic resist, so he stays relevant against tanky targets. A solid early- and mid-game pick and an easy way to build Goblin and Mech synergies.

Synergies

Goblin · species
Synergy effect: (3) 1 random piece gains +10 armor and +20 health regeneration. (6) All allied pieces gain +15 armor and +20 health regeneration.
How to play
Goblin is a defensive synergy through armor and health regeneration. Three heroes at 1 gold let you reach (3) in the first rounds: one random hero becomes noticeably sturdier and holds the front longer. (6) is only reached with the expensive heroes towards the end of the game, but it hands armor and regeneration to the whole board, which is especially valuable against physical damage. Early on, goblins are most often taken as a comfortable start that is later either completed to the full six or swapped for another build.

Mech · class
Synergy effect: (3) If at least 1 allied Mech survives after a win, you receive 1 Mech Heart. (6) If at least 1 allied Mech survives after a win, you receive 1 Golden Mech Heart. Class trait: Mechs can repair themselves — healing and health regeneration they receive are increased by 50%. Mech Heart: lets you refresh the shop for free 1 time. Golden Mech Heart: lets you refresh the shop for free 1 time. Piece odds for that refresh: common 0%, uncommon 0%, rare 0%, epic 0%, legendary 100%.
How to play
Mechs are an economy and sustain synergy: the pieces themselves heal better thanks to their trait, and surviving a won round grants free shop refreshes. (3) comes together early on cheap heroes and helps you look for the pieces you need without spending gold; (6) is a late-game option with expensive Mechs, where the Golden Heart guarantees legendary pieces in the free refresh. Mechs fit any composition that needs to complete expensive heroes quickly.

hero story

I

Logging fulfilled the life of Goblins. Golby Wood had always believed so. Designing and modifying machinery with his own hands, and considering the sharp chainsaw as his closest companion, every Goblin who desired peace and happiness should give it a try. He therefore worked day and night to rip the throttle, swinging the high-speed chainsaw, witnessing huge trees fell with a bang in the forest. Why should people stop when they have the opportunity to hold a lovely chainsaw tightly in their hands? Why take a break? Wood in the past never wanted to take a break. It had nothing to do with fairness - his love for logging outweighed everything else. The sound of the wood being sawed made him feel incredibly comfortable. He would always feel more satisfied than ever watching the machinery he built with his own hands perform its job perfectly. Life was exciting because of logging. He never considered that his future would have other possibilities by then.

II

Such leisurely days lasted until the day the war broke out. Wood was recruited into the army and took up the position of mechanic in the Mechanical Task Force. Golby Dwarf, the Heaven Bomber, was his colleague, and Golby Boom, the Devastator, was his superior. His workplace shifted from the remote and lush forest to the Pinnacle Peninsula, and the objects to be cut with chainsaws changed from nice trees to troublesome Dwarves. In the Mechanical Task Force, Wood and Dwarf had many arguments - their conflicts centered on their aesthetic preference for machinery and explosions. Those who liked gunpowder and explosions were always noisier than his chainsaws. However, even with such drastic changes in Wood's life, his enthusiasm and dedication to machinery never changed. In addition to the front line of battle, Wood helped improve the outdated fishing machines in his spare time. Although the efficiency was still worrying, it was sufficient to fill the bellies of the Goblins during the war. Several years passed in a flash.

III

★ The machines used for fishing were running in an orderly manner around him, and Golby Wood liked the sound of gears and rolling chainsaws. The Fertile Harbor where he now stayed was located above the inner abyss sea of the Marine territory, opposite the Dwarves' Hammer Harbor across the sea. The harbor was full of fishing boats coming and going, producing thousands of tons of fish every day. These fish would be shipped to all corners of the continent, providing fresh and delicious ingredients for the people at the table. Nowadays, Woody was the main engineer of the large fishing machinery project in the Fertile Harbor, responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of the entire harbor's fishing equipment. In his spare time, he would also do some new designs. Except for the occasional trolls that he played on the dwarves together with Golby Dwarf, his daily work had become very peaceful - he didn't expect that the fishing machine developed during the war would now be his most successful invention. Day and night, he often looked out of the window, watching the tumbling waves of the Abyss Strait. He thought about what the war had brought to him and to the whole race. He had not yet found an answer to this question.
