Awakenpassive, affects allies in range
The Source steadily restores mana to allies — 8 / 12 / 20 mana every 2 s depending on star level.
Role: a cheap support with very long attack range, best parked in the back row. The constant mana trickle speeds up the whole team's abilities, so she shines in cast-heavy lineups while filling Human and Mage synergies.

Synergies
Synergy effect:
(3) At the end of the round, gain 2 EXP.
(6) When winning, if at least one allied Human piece survives on the field, gain additional EXP equal to "player level − 2". Both synergy effects can trigger simultaneously.
How to play
Human is an economic synergy: it does not strengthen the fight directly but speeds up leveling, which means more slots on the board and better odds of expensive heroes. (3) is reached with inexpensive heroes from the early game and already gives steady experience every round. (6) needs the expensive pieces and rewards wins with a surviving Human, so it is taken when the board is already strong and you want to pull ahead in level faster.
Synergy effect:
(3) Reduces the magic resistance of all enemy pieces by 30%.
(6) Reduces the magic resistance of all enemy pieces by 80%.
(9) Reduces the magic resistance of all enemy pieces by 85%; in addition, at the start of the battle enemy pieces receive a debuff: they are frozen when they take magical damage. The freeze duration equals the actual magical damage taken divided by 300, in seconds.
Class trait: each surviving allied Mage on the board grants Mages 10% mana, up to 60%.
Freeze: the piece cannot attack, move, or use abilities.
How to play
Mages are a magical damage synergy: (3) noticeably lowers the magic resistance of all enemies, (6) almost removes it, and (9) adds a freeze on magical damage — a rare late-game option. The class is wide, with many cheap heroes, so (3) comes together in the first rounds, (6) in the mid game, and the top threshold is closed by expensive Mages. Mages need a sturdy front line in front of them, but their trait builds mana quickly while many Mages are alive on the board.

The Source — The Girl Who Restores Mana Faster Than Her Allies Can Spend It
Once upon a time, The Source was an ordinary girl.
Well… almost ordinary.
Other children built snowmen.
She accidentally turned the village well into a giant block of ice.
Other children played hide-and-seek.
She froze the door so nobody could leave the house to look for her.
And one day, her parents asked:
“Please. Just for today. Don’t freeze anything.”
An hour later, the river froze.
It was summer.
The family meeting after that was surprisingly short.
“We love you.”
“But?”
“But maybe you should… live somewhere a little farther away from the plumbing.”
And that is how The Source ended up in the frozen lands.
There she met the Ice Wizard — an ancient mage who lived on top of a glacier and possessed two incredible abilities:
controlling ice
and spending hours answering simple questions with riddles.
The Source asked:
“Can you teach me to control my power?”
He replied:
“When the drop becomes the ocean, and the ocean forgets that it is water…”
She stared at him.
“Can you just say yes?”
“Yes.”
And so her training began.
The first few months were difficult.
The Source tried to create a small ball of ice.
She made an iceberg.
She tried to cool a cup of water.
She froze the entire table.
She tried to create one snowflake.
Her teacher spent three days digging the tower out of the snow.
But eventually, she learned to control her magic.
Then she discovered something much more interesting.
She could restore mana to her allies.
At first, just a little.
Then more.
Then even more.
Eventually, the team realized that mages standing near her no longer understood the meaning of the phrase:
“Out of mana.”
Mage:
“That’s it. No mana.”
The Source:
“You have mana.”
The mage casts a spell.
“No mana again.”
“You have mana.”
“But I literally just—”
“YOU HAVE MANA.”
After a few battles, her allies stopped treating her like a mage.
To them, she became a walking magical charging station.
One day, a powerful wizard approached her before battle and said:
“Great Guardian of the Frozen Lands, grant me a fragment of your mystical power.”
The Source raised her hand.
“Here. Mana.”
“Thank you.”
Two seconds later:
“More.”
“Are you serious?”
“My ultimate is expensive.”
That was the moment The Source discovered a terrible truth:
No matter how much mana you give your allies—
they will spend all of it.
Especially that mage in the corner.
Yes.
That one.
The one who waits until his mana bar is completely full just to use his ultimate on an enemy with 3 HP.
The Source tried teaching the team about resource management.
“Maybe you don’t need to use your ultimate right now?”
“Why?”
“There’s only one enemy.”
“And?”
“He’s almost dead.”
“And?”
One second later, half the board explodes.
The Source sighs.
“Fine. Here’s more mana.”
Despite everything, she genuinely cares about her allies.
While warriors take the hits, tanks hold the front line, and assassins jump somewhere completely off-screen, The Source calmly stays in the back and focuses on the most important job:
making sure everyone has a blue bar.
Because she understands one simple truth:
A hero without mana is just a very expensive chess piece.
Especially a mage.
Once, the enemy tried to kidnap The Source.
Their plan was simple:
Remove the mana source—
and her team would lose access to their abilities.
Five minutes later, the kidnappers released her voluntarily.
Why?
Because she would not stop asking:
“Does anyone need mana?”
“No.”
“Are you sure?”
“YES.”
“How about now?”
“IT HAS BEEN ONE SECOND.”
“Just checking.”
Since then, even enemies try to keep their distance.
Especially those who are tired of watching the same enemy mage cast the same ability for the third time in one fight.
The Source herself does not think she is particularly important.
Whenever her allies call her the heart of the team, she says:
“I’m just helping.”
At that exact moment, five heroes shout:
“MANA!”
She closes her eyes.
Takes a deep breath.
And goes back to work.
Her strange furry hat has also become legendary.
Some believe it is an ancient magical artifact.
Others think she hides emergency mana inside it.
Someone once asked:
“Why does your hat have such a huge nose?”
The Source answered:
“So I can smell stupid questions before you ask them.”
Nobody brought it up again.
Her greatest dream is simple.
Not to defeat every enemy.
Not to become the greatest mage in history.
Not to cover the world in eternal winter.
She just wants to survive one battle without hearing someone scream:
“SOURCE! WHERE IS MY MANA?!”
So far, that dream remains impossible.
Purchase quote:
“Don’t worry. There’s enough mana for everyone.”
Entering battle:
“Alright. Who’s going to spend everything in three seconds?”
When restoring mana:
“Here. Try not to spend it immediately.”
Two seconds later:
“You spent it immediately.”
When several allies need mana:
“There’s one of me! You have five mana bars!”
When an ally wastes an ultimate:
“I restore mana, not common sense.”
At low health:
“Could someone restore ME for once?”
After victory:
“See? All I had to do was constantly supply all of you with magical energy.”
When sold:
“Fine. Go find your own mana.”
If bought again:
“Ran out, didn’t you?”
At three stars:
“Congratulations. You now officially have infinite mana and absolutely no excuses.”
And The Source’s most important rule:
“If an ally runs out of mana—
wait two seconds.
If they run out again—
that’s no longer my problem.”
