Annihilationactive, single enemy target

Soul Devourer tears apart an enemy within ability range for 500 / 750 / 1000 pure damage and steals the target's current mana. While the Demon synergy is active, it also deals extra pure damage based on the target's max HP for each unique Demon (5% per Demon at 1★). Cooldown 9 / 7 / 5 s.

Role: a ranged single-target assassin for the mid and late game. Place him behind your frontline so he can delete a key enemy piece and drain its mana. He pays off most in rosters packed with different Demons and helps fill the Wizard synergy.

Synergies

Demon · species
Synergy effect: (1) The effect requires exactly one allied demon on the field. Demon Power: basic attacks of allied demons are treated as pure damage. Each Demon Power stack increases the pure damage by 15%, up to 7 stacks (105%). Demon Power: stacks are counted in real time and update whenever Demons die, are summoned, revive, transform or fall under enemy control. Identical Demons now grant stacks too: if two Hell Knights activate the synergy at the start of battle, each gets 2 stacks, and after one dies 1 stack remains. Zelatun's (Fel Titan) summons are counted separately by the summoned Demon's name: two Zelatuns — 2 stacks, a third one — 3, while a summoned Fallen Witcher gets its own 1 stack. When Demon and Witcher synergies are both active, the count includes all allied Demons and all enemy Witchers — the total number, not the number of different Demon types, up to 7 stacks. The current stack count is shown on the synergy icon.
How to play
Demon is a damage synergy that works from a single piece: pure damage ignores armor and magic resistance, so one demon with attack items can become the board's main damage source. There are many heroes at different costs, so a suitable demon is available at any stage of the game, from a cheap one in the first rounds to an expensive one at the end. The synergy is most often used as a single-piece splash alongside another main build.

Wizard · class
Synergy effect: (2) Synergies that already have 3 or more pieces count as one piece more (2 stays 2): 5 Mages + 2 Wizards = 6 Mages, 3 Half-Orcs = 4. This also applies to Wizards themselves, but not to Druids. (4) Activating a synergy requires 1 fewer piece; the board must contain at least 4 unique pieces. If a placed piece has only one active race or class synergy (not counting the Wizard synergy), the highest tier of that synergy is activated immediately. Class trait: Wizards are never a priority target for the enemy. The Wizard synergy effect does not apply to Druids.
How to play
Wizards are an amplifier for other synergies: (2) adds one piece to every synergy that already has three or more pieces, and (4) lowers the threshold requirements and can unlock the top tier right away. Wizards themselves are never a priority target, so they survive easily. There are few heroes: the cheap ones let you assemble (2) early, while (4) belongs to the mid and late game. The synergy is especially valuable for compositions that are one piece short of the next threshold; it does not apply to Druids.
