his basic attacks have a 20% chance to crit for a 125%–150% / 125%–200% / 125%–250% damage multiplier, and that damage also benefits from his 20% lifesteal.

Role: a cheap front-line knight with a huge attack spread — his hits are swingy, but crits plus lifesteal let him heal himself back up. He is mostly taken to enable Knight and Demon synergies in the early and mid game and belongs in the first row.

Synergies

Demon · species
Synergy effect: (1) The effect requires exactly one allied demon on the field. Demon Power: basic attacks of allied demons are treated as pure damage. Each Demon Power stack increases the pure damage by 15%, up to 7 stacks (105%). Demon Power: stacks are counted in real time and update whenever Demons die, are summoned, revive, transform or fall under enemy control. Identical Demons now grant stacks too: if two Hell Knights activate the synergy at the start of battle, each gets 2 stacks, and after one dies 1 stack remains. Zelatun's (Fel Titan) summons are counted separately by the summoned Demon's name: two Zelatuns — 2 stacks, a third one — 3, while a summoned Fallen Witcher gets its own 1 stack. When Demon and Witcher synergies are both active, the count includes all allied Demons and all enemy Witchers — the total number, not the number of different Demon types, up to 7 stacks. The current stack count is shown on the synergy icon.
How to play
Demon is a damage synergy that works from a single piece: pure damage ignores armor and magic resistance, so one demon with attack items can become the board's main damage source. There are many heroes at different costs, so a suitable demon is available at any stage of the game, from a cheap one in the first rounds to an expensive one at the end. The synergy is most often used as a single-piece splash alongside another main build.

Knight · class
Synergy effect: (2) Allied Knights have a 25% chance every 3 seconds to gain a damage reduction shield lasting 4 seconds. (4) Allied Knights have a 25% chance every 3 seconds to gain a damage reduction shield lasting 4 seconds. (6) Allied Knights have a 25% chance every 3 seconds to gain a damage reduction shield lasting 4 seconds. Activating any damage reduction shield restores 300 health. Class trait: Knights receive 1 Knight buff at the start of the battle. Damage reduction shield: reduces physical and magical damage by 50%, but does not reduce pure damage. The effects of multiple synergy tiers stack: each tier rolls its own chance to trigger the shield, but the shield's damage reduction limit does not change.
How to play
Knights are a reliable shield-based front line: (2) already gives them a chance to keep gaining a shield that halves physical and magical damage, and with (4) and (6) the chances stack, so shields are up almost constantly; at (6) every shield also heals. The class assembles early thanks to cheap heroes, while the expensive Knights close the higher thresholds in the mid and late game. Knights are vulnerable to pure damage, but against physical and magical damage they are one of the most durable front lines.

Lore

hero story

I

A human traveller wandered alone through the forest as the sky got darker after the crimson sunset. He sat on a tree trunk by the bonfire and took out some rations, planning to spend the night in the forest. It was not the best choice, but he was used to it. Travelling crafted his martial arts skills and sharpened his sense of nature. He was not afraid of the forest at night. A roar of a wild beast and the wing whistle of birds suddenly erupted in the forest not far away. A gust of wind extinguished the bonfire and darkness immediately shrouded his eyes. The sound of crushed leaves alerted him to what was approaching and forced him to calm down. He rubbed the flint in a desperate attempt to light the torch, but it was too late. The sound of breaking wind suddenly passed his ears in a split second. And the unknown beast fell with a dull roar of pain. He looked up in the moonlight and saw a valiant female knight leaping briskly from the back of her white tiger beast, drawing her blade back from the dead beast's spine. She was a Lightblade Knight, the leader of the Feathered Moonlight Knights, Yn.

II

After leaving Feathered Polis, he walked on the path feeling lost. The winter forest was arrogant and ruthless. Trees that could not hold the heavy snowfall collapsed in the middle of the narrow path, blocking his way. He drew his sword in anger and slashed at the trunks with all his might. The breaking sound gave him a little relief. He kept swinging the sword, leaving trails of cuts on the broken branches. As one of the few nobles in the kingdom, he had always been able to get what he wanted. But Yn had coldly rejected him, crushing his heart beneath her heel. Why? Why did true love bring him torment day after day and cause a wretched departure eventually? If it is because human life span was too short... During his travel, he had heard of a unique contract magic that could grant immortality to inhumans. "Does that power really exist..." he sat frustrated on his knees in the snow, thrusting the sword deep into the earth. At that moment, an old and distant voice could be heard in his mind. "My child, I hear you want the power of immortality -"

III

His name was Beelzebub. He was a knight from the deep hell. He accepted the transformation from the Shadow Devil and gained the power of immortality. After he awoke, only one thought was engraved in his mind: with such a powerful and magnificent new body, he must reappear in front of the Feathered Lightblade Knight... What was her name again? However, the name of an enemy does not matter at all. Feathered Polis, a place that he was destined to return to with his blade. He did not know where the hatred and shame woven in his heart had come from, but he was convinced that this was the first thing he would do when he became a demon. Soon he was leading his demon servants, spilling the Shadow Devil's magic flames over the vast Feather Forest. Burn, the light of civilization, destroy, the fragile city - He brought this present from darkness and death, and soon these so-called guardians of nature would be left to suffer from despair in ashes and ruins. This was all because of that proud and foolish Lightblade Knight, who would never know what she had done wrong. Beneath the bloody sky, he sneered in the dark flames - in a true demon form.
