I
A quarrel was taking place in the small port of Kyara Beach.
"This is a breach of contract!" A Goblin got so angry that his ears trembled.
Opposite the Goblin was a well-dressed Marine merchant who retorted arrogantly: "I say this is the first-class product, then it is! I don't know about the criteria in the contract!"
"If you violate the contract... Lord Berial will punish you!" The little Goblin said this, gritting his teeth.
The merchant laughed loudly: "Berial? Some little guy just like you? Hahaha..."
The laughing merchant didn't notice at all that the crowd became quiet and all of them took a step back, separating themselves from the merchant.
A burst of fiery smoke slowly appeared around the merchant.
The merchant didn't realize the change and kept talking about something like "no one backs you up, but my father is very powerful," etc., trying to scare the little Goblin out of this.
Until the smoke enveloped him completely, the merchant found that something was wrong.
"What's this? Come, protect me!" With the scream of the merchant, he and his men all disappeared in the smoke.
Among the dispersed crowd, several old residents pouted. Nothing seemed to happen and the port resumed its usual appearance.

It didn't take long before an old Marine noble appeared on the beach and found the Goblin.
"My boy! You killed him!" The noble yelled at the Goblin.
The Goblin explained: "He violated the contract. Of course he would be punished by Lord Berial."
"Lord Berial?" The noble hit his chair brutally, "You liar! There was no one else except you at that time! If you don't give my boy back..."
The noble stared at the Goblin, waved his hand, and the slave next to him stepped forward, pinched the Goblin by his neck and lifted him up.
The noble kept yelling at the Goblin: "I will let your brain and neck separate now!"
The crowd hushed and everybody shook their heads, knowing what would happen next.
The smoke appeared again.
The noble had no idea that this was Berial's warning. Instead, he thought his threat worked and kept yelling at the Goblin: "Yes, that's it! You used the smoke to take away my boy..."
Just like before, after a scream, the noble and his team disappeared. The crowd dispersed and the Goblin's friend helped him get away. The port resumed its usual appearance again.

In the port, the little Goblin threatened by the Marine was talking with his friend with obvious admiration: "Lord Berial saved me twice! He's such a man with integrity. I want to express my thanks in his presence."
Hearing the little Goblin talking about Berial, his friend began to talk excitedly:
"I think you've misunderstood, my friend. Lord Berial is just used to enforcing contracts because that's the simplest thing...
He doesn't care about what's right or wrong, about integrity. He just wants to avoid trouble.
He was too lazy to show up in the port, so he drove the smoke to catch the defaulters.
He was too lazy to hear explanations, so he simply put all the violators in the demon prison during the trial!
He is stronger and taller than the Beast!
His demon power is more terrifying than a volcanic eruption!
Even though he is just a judge, he could be the Big Devil if he were not too lazy to fight for fame and fortune!"
The little Goblin went dumb after hearing all of this, and it took him a long time to find his sense back.
He hurriedly covered his friend's mouth: "How could you say that Lord Berial is lazy? What if he gets mad? I don't want to be caught."
But his friend didn't care: "Don't worry! I didn't say anything bad about him. Everybody agrees that he's lazy.
Lord Berial wanted us to know about this and then work by the rules. Don't play tricks in the port, and the most important thing, don't disturb his rest.
Otherwise, he wouldn't listen to explanations during the trial..."
While talking, there was a sudden quarrel not far away from them. The little Goblin and his friend looked over there and stepped back a little.
Before long, a burst of smoke wafted towards the port...
