Life Extensionactive, single ally

Fortune Teller briefly hoodwinks fate so that 1 / 2 / 3 allies cannot be killed by incoming damage for 4 s, while the healing they receive or provide is boosted by 100%. 15 s cooldown.

Role: a cheap early-game support that sits in the back line and saves key units at the worst moment. It works best next to healers and beefy frontliners, and it fills the Glacier and Priest synergies.

Synergies

Glacier · species
Synergy effect: (2) Attack speed of all allied pieces +20%. (4) Attack speed of all allied pieces +70%. (6) Attack speed of all allied pieces +70%; each attack grants +20% attack speed, stacking up to 7 times.
How to play
This is a pure damage synergy through attack speed for the whole board. Three heroes at 1 gold let you reach (2) in the first rounds, while (4) with its sharp jump in attack speed comes together in the mid game and is felt immediately, especially on heroes that build mana from auto-attacks. (6) needs the expensive heroes and pushes the ramp to the maximum: every attack speeds the piece up even further. The synergy gives no survivability, so the front line has to be picked separately.
DefectorDesperate DoctorFrost KnightSacred LancerThe ExileBerserker
Priest · class
Synergy effect: (2) If there are not enough pieces on the board, the player receives 1 Green Essence every time they take damage. (4) If there are not enough pieces on the board, the player receives 1 Green Essence every time they take damage; in addition, each Priest takes control of an enemy piece whose value is not higher than its own for 9 seconds at the start of the battle, and can control up to (number of pieces on the board) pieces. Class trait: Priests are immune to mind control. Green Essence: use it to restore 1–6 player health.
How to play
Priests are a support and control synergy: (2) already grants Green Essence for damage taken and restores player health when the board is short of pieces, and (4) adds capturing enemy pieces at the start of the battle — strong control that can turn a fight around. The class has few heroes and some of them are cheap, so (2) is available early while (4) comes together by the mid game. Priests themselves are immune to mind control, which makes them a convenient support for any composition.

Lore

hero story

Fortune Teller — The Prophet Who Always Knows Everything Will Go Wrong Fortune Teller was once the youngest apprentice in his tribe. While the other shamans were learning how to summon rain, speak with spirits, and avoid confusing sacred herbs with ordinary tea, he was interested in only one thing: “What happens next?” The elders always answered: “The future is hidden in mist.” He nodded. Then tried to look anyway. One day, he succeeded. He saw his own death. Dark. Heroic. Very dramatic. Fortune Teller watched the vision again. Then once more. Then said: “No.” And from that moment on, he began arguing with fate personally. At first, he was careful. He read cards. Then bones. Then crystals. Then a barrel of beer. Why beer? According to him: “After the third mug, the future becomes much easier to understand.” Unfortunately, he was sometimes actually right. Eventually, Fortune Teller became so skilled that he stopped merely seeing the future. He started editing it. An ally is supposed to die in one second? Fortune Teller draws a card. Looks at it. Sighs. “Not today.” Fate tries to object. He draws another card. “I said: not today.” And somehow, the ally keeps living. Usually only for a few more seconds. But in Autochess, a few seconds is more than enough to kill half the enemy team. That is why allies love Fortune Teller. Especially the ones sitting at 2% HP. There is only one problem. He never explains his predictions properly. Once, a warrior asked: “Will I survive the next battle?” Fortune Teller spread out his cards. Stayed silent for a long time. Then said: “Yes.” The warrior smiled. “Really?!” “Of course.” Pause. “Your armor won’t.” Another player asked: “Will I be lucky today?” Fortune Teller looked into his crystal. “Yes.” “With what?” “You’ll find out.” One minute later, an enemy Defector accidentally transformed into a penguin and fell on him. That player stopped asking follow-up questions. Fortune Teller believes fate is not a law. It is a recommendation. And recommendations can be ignored. Especially when you have: seven magical cards, three cursed crystals, one ancient amulet, and an extremely confident expression. The strangest thing is that sometimes he predicts things that have absolutely nothing to do with the battle. Before a round, he might suddenly say: “Someone will lose gold in ten seconds.” Everyone gets nervous. Then one player buys a completely useless unit. Fortune Teller nods proudly. “See?” One day, he predicted: “A legendary unit will appear now.” The player rerolled the shop. Nothing. Again. Nothing. Ten more rerolls. Nothing. Fortune Teller shrugged. “I never said it would appear for you.” They almost sold him after that. But he already knew. So he hid. Fortune Teller has great respect for Death. Not fear. Respect. He considers Death a powerful opponent. Serious. Experienced. But slightly predictable. “Death always arrives on time,” he says. “I simply reschedule the appointment.” According to legend, Death itself once visited him and said: “Stop ruining my schedule.” Fortune Teller drew a card. Looked at it. Smiled. “You’ll come back tomorrow.” Death left. Then stopped. Turned around. “Wait…” Too late. Fortune Teller also loves beer. Officially, it is purely for ritual purposes. Unofficially, the ritual usually begins after lunch and ends when the barrel is empty. He claims alcohol helps him see multiple timelines. His allies suspect that after the fifth mug, he simply sees everything twice. Nobody argues with him. Because even while drunk, Fortune Teller sometimes says: “Move one step to the left.” You move. A meteor lands exactly where you were standing. After that, people usually stop asking questions. His greatest dream is to see his own future all the way to the end. But every time he looks too far, the cards show the same message: “PREDICTION ERROR.” Fortune Teller considers that a good sign. Purchase quote: “I knew you would pick me.” Entering battle: “I’ve already seen this fight. I liked the ending.” Saving an ally: “You can die later. Get back to work.” When an ally survives at 1 HP: “Exactly as planned.” When he dies: “Hm. That wasn’t in the cards.” At low health: “Relax. I’ve seen the future… probably.” Victory: “Predictable.” Defeat: “Alternative timeline.” When sold: “You’ll buy me again.” If the player actually buys him again: “Told you.” At three stars: “Now I can see so far into the future that even the developers are getting nervous.” And Fortune Teller’s most important rule: “If fate says ‘no’ — shuffle the deck.”
