calls rolling boulders in from the edge of the board — 1 / 2 / 3 of them, each sweeping a row or column for 300 / 400 / 600 physical damage and stunning everything in the line for 3 / 3 / 4 s. Getting a kill resets the ability, which otherwise has a 6 / 5 / 4 s cooldown.
Role: a melee carry and heavy disabler that belongs on the front line. High armor lets him hold the fight, and the kill-reset can chain stuns through fragile enemy boards. Supports Pandaman and Shaman synergies.

Synergies
Synergy effect:
(1) At the start of the round, there is a 10% chance to invite an off-board piece of the same race as any allied piece on the board.
(2) At the start of the round, each allied Pandaman on the board has a 12% chance to invite a Pandaman piece with the same name.
The effects of several triggers are calculated separately and do not affect each other.
How to play
Pandaman is a synergy of luck and summons: with a single hero, (1) already gives a chance to get an extra piece for the round that matches a race on your board, and (2) gives a chance at a copy of the Pandaman itself. The only cheap hero lets you turn the effect on early, but the rest are expensive, so a full pair usually comes together closer to the end of the game. The synergy gives no direct combat bonuses, but the random guests on the board can complete the thresholds of your other synergies.
Synergy effect:
(3) All allied Shamans transform into an Illusion Form 2 seconds after casting an active ability or using an active item; the Illusion Form costs 2 more than their own sell price. The cost of the Illusion Form cannot exceed the player's current level. The Illusion Form lasts 20 seconds.

How to play
Shamans are a transformation synergy: after casting an ability or using an active item they temporarily become a more expensive illusion, and with (6) their equipment is temporarily upgraded as well. The reduced ability cost speeds up their first casts. Cheap Shamans let you assemble (3) in the first rounds, while (6) is a late-game option with expensive heroes; the strength of the synergy grows with the player's level, which caps the cost of the illusion.

Ji Xi felt a sense of fear rising from the soil. It seemed a powerful creature was nearby, wandering with mad emotion.
Ji Xi knew this feeling well. For hundreds of years, that monster had been locked in the harshest cave of Jade Prison. If it hadn't been for an accident that broke Jade Prison, there would have been no chance for that monster to be set free.
Ji Xi would always remember the culprit who broke Jade Prison, and he would finally get that monkey! But the most important thing now was tracing the prisoners who had escaped.
Heading north, he saw plenty of trampled farmland and destroyed bridges, and finally found the footprints of the monster near a village.
This village was too fragile. The villagers had launched resistance, and broken swords lay scattered around, but compared to the sharp claws, these weapons were as weak as table knives.
Ji Xi recognized traces of blood in the mess, which made things much easier. An injured prey couldn't run too far, especially since it hadn't rested for days.

Ji Xi hid behind a huge rock, observing every move of Nian, an ancient monster known for its ferocity and brutality.
It was tearing at the animals looted from the village, chewing them with its sharp teeth and swallowing their meat and bones. Ji Xi thought this monster probably hadn't liked the food in Jade Prison.
Nian ate up the animals and howled loudly. It was full and nearly recovered. Ji Xi wasn't certain he could beat Nian down.
But it was a rare opportunity, and he was well-prepared.
He climbed to the top of the huge rock, jumped, and landed steadily on Nian's back while the monster was still savoring its meal.
Suddenly, Nian felt a sharp pain at the back of its neck. It was the glove on Ji Xi's fist, made of magic stone and specially crafted to fight monsters like Nian.
Ji Xi understood it would be impossible to make Nian surrender to his fists alone. He meant only to provoke Nian and throw it into chaos. And just as he expected, Nian jumped around in a frenzy, trying to figure out what was on its back.
However, Ji Xi seemed to underestimate Nian's speed. Nian suddenly rolled quickly and slammed its back against a huge rock nearby.
Ji Xi was about to be crushed to pieces...
III
Ji Xi slapped Nian hard on the back and leaped away to avoid its assault. Nian roared angrily and swiped its claws at Ji Xi again.
Ji Xi quickly dodged, but he was still a step too slow. Nian's sharp claws struck his shoulder, and a burst of sparks scattered. Fortunately, part of Ji Xi's muscles had fused with jade — a normal body would have been torn to pieces.
Ji Xi leaned against the huge stone, trying to dodge Nian's frenzied attacks. He had truly underestimated its anger and power. Every strike left a deep mark on the rock, and eventually the rock was split in half.
This was exactly what Ji Xi wanted — the rage had blinded Nian, and it could no longer focus. At that moment, Ji Xi saw his opening, and the glove of magic stone began to glow bright green.
The rock shattered and reformed under Ji Xi's control. It attached to Nian's body, binding its legs, abdomen, chest, and head. Nian kept roaring in panic until the stone finally became a prison that held it fast.
